Dr. James Trofimuk
Dr. Trofimuk is a general dentist who has been in the Marda Loop (Garrison Woods) district since 2001.
Dr. Trofimuk is originally from Edmonton, where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Alberta in 1986. Shortly after graduating he moved to Calgary to be closer to the mountains where he has been practicing dentistry ever since.
Dr. Trofimuk originally opened his office as Optimum Dentistry and changed the name in 2019 to Garrison Woods Dental. He had the vision of treating patients based on their individual needs. He strives to create an environment that is welcoming, respectful and compassionate. He uses individualized, personal care. This personal care extends to all of his general dental services. He is currently a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Alberta Dental Association and College.
Outside of the office Dr. Trofimuk and his wife Bernadine keep busy with their three boys. He and the dental team at Garrison Woods Dental have volunteered their services in third world countries. Dr. Trofimuk has also volunteered at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
Dr. Trofimuk is proud to be one of the first businesses that saw the bright future Marda Loop was destined to have, and has since grown to be one of the most vibrant areas in SW Calgary.
